Saratoga Performing Arts Center
The Saratoga Performing Arts Center (SPAC) is an iconic performing arts center, nestled in the heart of the stunning 2,400 acre Saratoga Spa State Park. Founded as the summer home of New York City Ballet and The Philadelphia Orchestra, SPAC features an acoustically superior, 5,200-seat amphitheater, the largest of its kind in the nation, and a sloping lawn that is capable of accommodating another 20,000 guests.
Today, diverse artistry thrives at SPAC, in a summer festival that encompasses more than 80 unique performances across all genres. Its season features annual residencies by New York City Ballet, The Philadelphia Orchestra and the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center as well as the legendary Freihofer’s Saratoga Jazz Festival, which celebrates its 40th Anniversary in 2017.
Dynamic new series making their debuts this year include SPAC on Stage and Caffè Lena at SPAC. Additionally, the Argentinian dance company Che Malambo, known for percussive footwork, drumming and song, will make their first SPAC appearance. A popular concert lineup presented by Live Nation and world-class opera productions by Opera Saratoga round out the summer cultural offerings.
