David Zecchini left Rome for America to become a restauranteur. In 1998, after years of success in California, Zecchini chose downtown Saratoga Springs, NY as the home for his new restaurant, Chianti Il Ristorante.
Chianti has become one of the area’s most celebrated and popular restaurants, known for its superior service, warm and stylish interior, and fresh Italian food.
In 2008, Chianti had its grand reopening in a brand new building on Division St. David had his hand in every aspect of the design, from the open kitchen to the well-appointed dining room. Every detail was addressed, resulting in the engaging, dynamic atmosphere that is so unique to Chianti.
The addition of a bright, spacious onyx bar with ample seating has allowed Chianti to excel in both food and drink creation. Summertime welcomes the opening of the patio seating area, where guests can dine al fresco under billowing curtains.
